A Day at the Zoo

Saturday was a perfect day to visit the Los Angeles Zoo.  The girls were itching to get out of the house and so was daddy and I.  We headed out bright and early and surprisingly enough, it wasn't too crowded.  The girls were strapped in, snacks in hand and ready to see some animals.

We saw the meerkats.  They loved watching them run around. 

Auntie Karley and Uncle Erick met up with us which is always nice.  The girls love them and this mommy does too!  It takes a village right?  Extra arms are always welcome when dealing with twin toddlers.

Don't let this picture fool you.  This was at the end of the day with zero naps under their belt.

Okay, so we had this image in our heads that I was going to walk the girls down and quickly run up so that we could snap some shots of them running back up to us together.

I should have known that as soon as I let go of their hands they would both start running in opposite directions.

I also envisioned a picture of me holding both of the girls with giant smiles on their faces.

Lily was definitely ready for a nap.  She grabbed her sweater and covered her face.  "No more pictures, Mom!"

We had a great time at the zoo.  Can't wait to go back.
