In order to beat the heat, popsicles are a necessity.
These girls always have to taste each other's popsicle.
Sharing kisses just about does me in every time.
Bring it in Sista
Ahh! So Sweet!
After dinner, Mia has been asking for my phone. Mia: "Mama, where your phone? peeze? Shake off." Almost every night this week, Taylor Swift's Shake it Off has been blaring through our kitchen while she dances in circles.
Videos coming soon. I have tons of them. All to be played at her wedding.
Saturday was no exception to the heat but, we definitely made the most of it. As some of you may have seen on my Instagram, Kurt found his old Supernintendo and games while we were packing up boxes at his parent's house. After realizing that the cords we had were not compatible with the newer Tv's, Kurt remembered seeing an older tv at a yard sale down the street while he was out buying breakfast.
My parents called that afternoon with hopes of snagging the girls for a couple of hours. So many plans were up in the air for the evening and being that my parents don't get to see the girls very often, it was a no brainer. It was well worth it because the next morning, Mia came up to me and said, " fun, Wowo, Wowa" I'm glad they enjoyed themselves. We ventured out to a birthday party which was nice being able to see some familiar faces I don't get to see very often.
Sunday morning called for a little trouble making with the girls. Kurt was taking a nap on the couch. I mean, come on, if anyone deserves a nap it's me. So, I scrounged through all my things and found some stickers I had stashed from work. Lily was my accomplice. I would hand her a sticker and she would put it on daddy's face. Mia was an innocent bystander looking at me and wondering why I was laughing yet crying at the same time. Momma was having fun.
He finally woke up to take the girls on a walk to his uncle's house for a little dip in the pool.
The night ended with BBQ, beers and Sunday Night Football. Somehow I got myself caught up in a Fantasy Football League which has gotten me super hyped about watching it and keeping up with the players. I'm not even going to pretend I know what I am doing, but hey, I'm having fun and that's all that matters.
I hope that your weekend was fun and exciting and full of memories to hold on to. Till next time.
With Love,
Angela
