This year, Halloween was much more eventful for the girls. Last year, they had just turned 1 and the concept of "Trick-or-Treating" was not something they could grasp nor care to. My precious babes were so little!
Pooped out!
This year, I hand grand plans to make their costumes. So many cute ideas that seemed easy enough to recreate. Then, it was the weekend before Halloween and the realization set in that I haven't done c r a p! So, lucky for me, I found these dresses at Target. Throw on some leggings and bows and we're good to go.
I had not planned on dressing up. I borrowed this Strawberry Shortcake costume from a co-worker just in case. It came in handy.
I'm very blessed to have such a wonderful family to celebrate with.
The girls weren't too excited about daddy's costume choice.
This was our first year celebrating Halloween in our new neighborhood. I bought loads of candy for the trick-or-treaters. These two found the stash. While Lily was loading up her bag, Mia was begging for a Lollipop. Gawa and Lolo stayed behind to pass out candy.
I wasn't sure how trick-or-treating was going to go with these girls. Especially with all the spooky decorations. The moment they realized they just had to say "Trick-or-Treat" to get some candy, they were all about it. Lily had a strong grip on her bag all night. She wouldn't let anyone hold it for her.
Halloween in our neighborhood was insane. The decorations, the crowds, the enthusiasm was out of this world. Some of the houses were decorated like it could be part of the Haunted Mansion. There were lines at some houses just to get some candy. C R A Z Y right? I've only seen Halloween like this on TV. It was awesome.
Towards the end, these girls were pooped out. So was I!
That hair!
I heard some shuffling in my room and then a clunk, clunk, clunk.
Pizza, Oreos, a lollipop and half a Kit-Kat bar later they called it a night.
Happy November everyone! Till next time.
With love,
Angela
