Time

T I M E.  Such a small word, yet carries so much weight.  When it comes to the girls, I feel like time is coming and going way too fast.  I wish that I could just hit the pause button and make it all stop.  Even if it was just for a second.  A second more to stare at their goofy smiles.  A second more to enjoy their teeny arms wrapped around my neck.  A second more to savor this moment in time when their momma is all they want and need.  Don't get me wrong, I would hit the fast-forward button just as easy when those whiny cries make their presence.  But even then, those moments are far and few between.

Between the girls, work, home and the "new" home, time has certainly got the best of me.

Lily and Mia have been changing so much that I look at them everyday and I swear I see a new kid every time.  Lily has yet to say any words, which I was told not to worry by her pediatrician and Mia is just yapping away.  Calling for her sister, "yi-yee"  It is so darn cute.  Just recently she's been pointing to her nose, eyes, mouth and ears repeating each word every time then she points to mine.  She's even started to say "les go" and "go away".
I can't help but be in awe with the way they interact with each other.  Mia tends to dominate over her sister and push her way to get things she wants and Lily, more often than not, won't put up a fight, unless it is something that she definitely can not be without.  Then, the claws come out and that little angel turns into a feisty little princess.  But the sweet side always overrules the sassiness.  Lily can't stand it when her sister goes on her crying fit.  She does everything she can to try and comfort her.  Whether it be hugs or shoes (yes, shoes) a snack or her wubby, she is always there to try to console her.  Mia, in all her toughness is also my most sensitive one.  If she accidentally hurts her sister or even myself, she is there with remorseful eyes and big hugs.

The house is coming a long quite well.  The kitchen is in full demolition mode.  Kurt and Koko, my father-in-law, have been working overtime trying to get the kitchen looking like my dream kitchen on Pinterest.  Its getting there folks.  In due time, in due time.  So far, paint colors have been chosen for 2 of the rooms.  I probably would have chosen more colors by now if there literally wasn't fifty shades of grey.  I'm on color palette overload.

Anyway, time for a picture avalanche.

Frozen yogurt is a staple with these girls... and with froyo always comes kisses

Oh, you know... just lounging on our front porch

Easter Morning was full of smile(s)

Whenever we visit cousin Ella, the girls always head straight for her basket of princess shoes, so it was only fitting that I got them their own pair.  Yet, after watching Mia prance around in her onsie wearing heels and bunny ears, I realized that my gift combo probably wasn't the best choice.  Hashtag: momoftheyear

This girl is all about the slide.
Yolo, mom!
You can't get this little ball of sassiness off the swing.  If looks could kill...

The Easter egg hunt that lasted 2.5 seconds

Wait a minute... there's candy in here?

Look mom, whats that?  ... as she hides the chocolate... in her mouth

Gotta brush away the sugar bugs
Weekend fun with cousins

I'm pretty sure this little lady ate about 20 slices of watermelon

Cheesy smiles from the (could be) twins

Blueberry smoothies... probably not the best choice for toddlers

Nothing like a sweet, slobbery sister kiss on the head

Thanks for finding the {t i m e} to visit.
With love,
